Web Developer (at the rank of IT Officer / IT Technician) in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (Ref.: 530463) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Key Responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and create user-focused solutions.
Implement and maintain website and web application features and functionality, troubleshooting and debugging as needed.
Ensure website and web application security and data protection best practices are followed.
Stay current with the latest full-stack web development trends, technologies, and best practices.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients or end-users when necessary.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
At least 1 year of work experience in full-stack web development, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, Java Script, and server-side technologies
Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience working with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g.,Vue.js).
Experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Laravel), and both SQL (My SQL / Postgres SQL) and no-SQL databases (Mongo DB) development.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable qualifications/experience:

Experience with Web RTC is beneficial.
A strong desire to learn new technologies and demonstrated knowledge in using AI (and API) is advantageous.
Experience with content management systems (e.g., Word Press).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility guidelines.

Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment at the rank of IT Technician.
