Currently expanding, we are looking for an experienced “Business Development Manager” for the South East European market into our Industrial Solutions Business Unit.

Background and role
IMCD South East Europe serves a wide range of market sectors in specialty chemicals, bringing added value to our customers and principals in South East Europe. For our expanding Industrial Solutions Business Unit, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities
Technical sales and application consulting in the Chemical Industry by targeting “Industrial Formulators” within the assigned territory
Actively seek and develop new business opportunities and new customers to ensure long-term growth in relevant market segments
Ensure and secure business to existing customers and develop further relationship
Negotiating commercial conditions with customers, sending offers/samples to customers
Independent and autonomous preparation and calculation of all offers and framework agreements
Regular customer visits
Keep close contact with suppliers (reporting, technical and commercial discussions etc. upon request) as well as with other co-workers within IMCD
Market research on customer and market potentials, identification of potential trends
Regular reporting to the Business Unit Manager and continuous reporting and documentation of activities in CRM system (Salesforce)

Competencies and Requirements
Ideally University degree in Chemistry (Chemical Engineer) or closely related subject
Strong chemical background, or at least good chemical competence.Background in surfactants, biocides and water-soluble polymers would be a bonus
Strong commercial character, a hunter, independent and able to develop opportunity pipeline with a focus on closing impactful projects
Experience in distribution business is an asset
High motivation, flexibility and reliability
Willingness to learn and continuous self-development
Strong networking abilities
Location: Hungary, Czech Republic or Austria
Willingness to travel, driving license class B
Languages: fluent Hungarian and/or Czech/Slovak. Fluent English is a must.
