Your role
As a data analyst your responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement efficient and reliable data models to store and retrieve data.
• Provide engaging, insightful, and innovative dashboard and report design to allow action to be driven from insight.
• Design & delivery of first-class BI reporting solutions to meet customer requirements, through requirements gathering, solution design, testing and iterative development.
• Own the Azure Data Factory/Powe BI delivery and continual development of our suite of BI applications, evolving to meet the needs of our business.
• Maintain and evolve the BI suite for optimal performance working closely with Data Engineers to develop data warehouse solutions to meet the customer requirements.
• Troubleshooting of issues, resolving, and communicating in an efficient and effective fashion.
• Provide support and expertise to our client on the optimal use of Azure Data Facrotry/Power BI.
• Provision of progress reporting and updates across the business through appropriate meetings around BAU and projects.
• Providing support to other projects as required and working together with the wider BI Team and other areas of the business.
• Continually and proactively identify and deliver improvements in the reporting and visualization process.
• Design robust and technically stable Infrastructure solutions for customers.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Test, troubleshoot, and maintain applications, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
• Collaborate with other IT teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure that applications are integrated with other systems and processes.
• Keep up to date with new technologies and industry trends related to the Power Platform
• Document technical specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT teams.

Required

• Must have: Strong understanding & knowledge of ETRM/Trading/Capital Markets industry, and work experience with the domain applications
• 7+ Years of experience as Data Analyst (ETRM / Market/ Trading)
• Good knowledge on Data analysis from different sources and draws key references.
• Good Understanding of large multi-tiered applications
• Extensive understanding of relational databases, various model types (data vault and star schemas), data marts, views, multidimensional databases and tuning of schemas/tables.
• Understanding logical and physical models; normalized and denormalized structures, and surrogate key usage, including very strong SQL skills
• Detailed understanding in handling millions of data across RDS and ability to reconcile data across system.
• Thorough understanding of Agile and waterfall delivery methodology
• Knowledge and experience with using Azure Dev Ops (ADO) in full software lifecycle
• Manage communication across multiple teams, third party vendor, and multiple consulting staff
• Experience working with APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to design effective solutions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
