The Pay, Time & Benefits Team focuses on payroll, benefits and absence management support and provides customer service and advisory support to employees, People & Culture and business partners ensuring end-to-end process completion in line with customer focused principles to ensure the Roche People Practices work for the business.
Please note that this is a fixed-term role, ending on the 31st December 2026.
The Opportunity
As a Pay, Time & Benefits Senior Specialist, you support the Polaris Project in driving simplification and harmonization of payroll time & benefits (PTB) processes and practices in the EMEA region, participate in the transformation for to-be processes in the PTB area, support global/regional alignment on process definition, quality standards and data ownership and the application of global aligned approach of PTB operating model in the region. This is coupled with strong customer focus, communication skills, and solution orientation.

Collaborate with PTB Process Leads and Polaris team to standardize, harmonize, and implement a new vendor solution.

Guide and support in-country PTB colleagues through the Polaris implementation process.

Perform payroll, time, and benefits administrative tasks such as data quality checks, payroll reconciliation, and consolidation of payroll inputs.

Serve as a point of contact for payroll vendors and handle payroll, time, and benefits inquiries, interpreting People & Culture policies as needed.

Manage and reconcile mass upload files, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and support inquiry resolution within service level agreements.

Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, performing analysis and controls for payroll processes, and considering ICFR controls in the accounting scope.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, update documentation, and lead or support project initiatives as required.
Who you are:
In this role, you will work within the Payroll Time & Benefits team focusing on our customers needs and collaborating with teams across various functions and levels within the organization.

Over 5 years of experience in Payroll services with end-to-end process experience in a shared service center supporting multiple countries.

High learning agility with different country practices and ability to provide remote support in payroll, time, and benefits administration operations promptly.

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookup).

Proven ability to deliver in a matrix organization and work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment while handling multiple priorities.

Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, with additional language capabilities being a plus (e.g., French, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Polish).
