Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Area Sales Manager to oversee sales operations in the Delhi market. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, building and maintaining relationships with Super-stockists, Distributors and Retailer accounts, and leading a team of sales executives to achieve targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG sales, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the Delhi market.
Key Responsibilities:
- We are looking for a candidate who has handled an annual revenue of 40-50 Cr or more, team size handled >=15, and Distributors handled >=10-12
● Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential distributors & retailers to understand their needs and preferences
● Conduct daily reviews, monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and prepare reports for management review to assess progress against targets
● Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including pricing, distribution, and promotional activities
● Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and distributor & retailer preferences to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement
Requirements & Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
● Proven track record of success in FMCG sales, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
● Experience in Food category – edible oil & staple food is preferred
● Prior experience of sales in the Delhi market with sound knowledge of distribution channels, retail landscape, and consumer behavior.
● Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve targets.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
● Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
● Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving sales growth and achieving targets.
● Proficiency in MS (Microsoft) Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), SFA & DMS software.
● Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned area.
