It is responsible for producing semi-finished commercial and clinical parenteral drug product materials. IPM also manages commercialization activities, linking Lilly's PR&D activities to commercial manufacturing in preparation for new parenteral product launches.
The Site Procurement team provides both strategic and tactical sourcing support for direct production material sourcing needs from IPM’s third party supplier network, which are required to support the manufacturing operations for IPM.

Do you have experience leading site procurement in a complex regulated industry? We're looking for a hardworking employee focused on improving processes and critical thinking to join our team. Consider becoming part of the Lilly story today!

Position Overview: The Associate Director for IPM Site Procurement is responsible for establishing and driving site-level sourcing strategies across all direct production material spend categories. This role aligns with the IPM Site, Global Manufacturing Procurement, Global Materials Strategy, and Manufacturing Finance leadership teams. This role will lead the Site Procurement team to develop a comprehensive understanding of IPM’s business operations, ensuring maximum results for IPM’s production material needs.

The Associate Director position is pivotal in fostering partnerships across the team, including both exempt and non-exempt Site Procurement members, and key IPM core business partners such as IPM Site Supply Chain, Operations, TSMS, Quality, and other cross-functional Materials Management teams. This role also strengthens business relationships between IPM and its third-party production material partners. The focus of this position is on achieving operational excellence at IPM, ensuring the reliability of the supply chain for all production materials, and driving opportunities to enhance team productivity and value.

Additionally, the Associate Director is responsible for setting goals and expectations for the Site Procurement team, including the design of effective strategies, the achievement of annual savings targets (set by Global Manufacturing Procurement partners), operational improvement in each procurement category (Components, Consumables, Excipients), and is accountable for the Site Procurement team’s overall performance. This role facilitates the Materials Management Governance Committee (MMGC) as a co-leadership operation with Site TS/MS, Site Supply Chain, Materials Management QA, QC, and Warehouse Operations cross-functional team management members. The Associate Director is responsible for supervising the performance levels for each IPM material category’s Parenteral Supply Committee (PSC), in partnership with MMGC co-leaders. Performance Monitoring: Provide monthly MRP metrics and supplier performance updates. Track key performance indicators and improve procurement business processes. Manage Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory (SMOI) items.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead meetings to agree on global and site-level strategies. Foster relationships within the IPM site and with the Global Procurement team.
