Job Summary: The Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology will play a key role in advancing the academic and clinical missions of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This role involves a blend of teaching, research, and clinical responsibilities, with an emphasis on providing high-quality education to medical students and residents, conducting impactful research in the field of obstetrics and gynecology, and delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching and Education:

• Deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops to medical students, residents, and fellows in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
• Develop and implement innovative educational programs and curricula in collaboration with other faculty members.
• Supervise and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical settings and research projects.
• Participate in departmental and institutional committees related to education and curriculum development.

2. Research and Scholarship:

• Conduct original research in obstetrics and gynecology, aiming to advance the field and contribute to scientific knowledge.
• Secure research funding through grants and collaborative projects.
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.
• Collaborate with other researchers and institutions to foster interdisciplinary research initiatives.

3. Clinical Care:

• Provide high-quality clinical care in the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology, including but not limited to outpatient and inpatient care.
• Participate in on-call duties and weekend coverage as required.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

4. Service and Administration:

• Contribute to the administration of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, including involvement in faculty recruitment, evaluation, and promotion processes.
• Participate in institutional committees, professional organizations, and community outreach programs.
• Support departmental goals and objectives through active engagement and leadership.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Completed fellowship training in a subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology (if applicable).
• A proven track record of academic and clinical excellence.
