Why

Everyone worries about the dooms-day in climate change which is expected to occur in the 2050s. However, there's one doom's day which is the reality for millions of people around the world today. Air pollution takes more than 7 Million lives globally every single year. Over 5% of premature children death occur due to air pollution in developing countries. Everyone has relied on governments or experts to solve the problem, but most solutions up until today have either been too expensive or too ineffective. Praan is an attempt at making the future cleaner, healthier, and safer for the generations to come.

Job Description

• Optimise air flow through different product chambers and test setups
• Simulate injected particulates across different wind and cluster conditions
• Simulate structural loads on different products against elemental conditions
• Generate feasibility reports and work alongside mechanical design engineers on design improvements
• Recommend manufacturing improvements to operations and manufacturing engineers for improved fluid flow and structural strength
• Simulate client sites through real world data
• Develop and execute program plan where relevant
• Automate tasks using Python/C wherever relevant

Skill Requirements

• BS/MS/Ph D in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of work experience at a startup or corporate in CFD roles
• Some past hands-on experience with CFD and FEA projects
• Knowledge of and strong interest in multiphase and particle simulations
• Proficiency in geometry cleanup using CAD tools (Fusion 360 or Salome preferred)
• Experience with CFD tools, particularly Open FOAM, for meshing, solving and Paraview for post-processing
• Past experience in scripting and automation of repetitive tasks
• Strong analytical skills to make meaningful conclusions from CAE simulations as well as physical tests
• Excellent communication skills with people of varying technical ability in your field
• A strong desire to develop high-quality products as part of a skilled team
• Ability to design and execute experiments to validate analyses and ideas
• Strong documentation practices

Good to have

• Past experience working with a deep-tech hardware startup
• Past experience working on rotor blade design in aerospace engineering projects
• Past experience with end-to-end hardware product design
• Some understanding of systems engineering across the spectrum
