- Lead market intelligence efforts for potential markets and suppliers according to Category inquiries or expectations.
- Acquire and share market and technology trends according to Category future demands or expectations.
- Follow RFI and preliminary financial risk analysis, to screen and identify potential suppliers and their associated risk.
- Define appropriate assessment criteria to streamline supplier evaluation, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the total cost of ownership, and to further highlight the advantages of supplier onboarding.
- Lead negotiations to create added value through a deep understanding of the supply chain.
- Partner with the Quality and Engineering teams to fully understand the requirements on drawing, specification, as well as inspection method, to support a mutual understanding of technical requirements between the parties.
- Partner with the Quality and Engineering teams to develop suppliers' processes, manufacturing capabilities, and skills to meet business requirements..
- Coordinate the internal approval process for new supplier, new material, new mfg process, first article approvals.
- Support the supplier business review in collaboration with Category Manager.
- Support Category Manager’s strategy execution in India and APAC region
