Environmental Specialist (National)

Job Description

The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all environmental safeguards are adhered to during the project, including compliance with the Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the implementation of the EMP in coordination with the project team and contractors.
Conduct environmental training and capacity-building activities.
Review designs and ensure environmental safeguards are integrated into the project.
Monitor and report on environmental impacts during the project lifecycle.
Assist with obtaining necessary environmental permits and clearances.

Location of Job: Uttarakhand, India
Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience
Candidate Profile: Qualifications: • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field. • Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental management, preferably in the power sector. • Experience with international environmental standards such as IFC EHS guidelines. • Strong training and reporting skills.
