Outside Territory Sales Representative

Position Overview
The Territory Sales Representative is accountable for driving revenue growth through the sustained prospecting, targeting, closing and onboarding towing companies and dealers (i.e. “accounts”) from a specific territory onto our online auction platform. Additionally, Territory Sales Representatives are responsible for ongoing account maintenance and customer support. As the “face” of Peak Auto Auctions within the towing industry, Sales Representatives must be highly professional, responsive to customer needs, and must display our Core Values at all times.
The following key accountabilities ensure the critical success of this position:
  • Serve as an “Ambassador” by consistently and effectively communicating our value proposition.
  • Actively and consistently engage in towing industry events, trade shows and professional organizations in order to promote awareness of the Peak Auto Auctions value proposition and our Core Values.
  • Creatively find ways to engage with potential and current customers through marketing opportunities, social events, and sponsorships.
  • Behave, dress and interact in a way that exemplifies professionalism and our Core Values.
  • Consistently prospect, sign and onboard customers to generate new revenue.
  • Prospect new leads on a weekly basis via direct industry contacts, cold calling and online research
  • Consistently complete call goal of 150 calls a week
  • Travel requirement for this position will be greater in the beginning in order to build your pipeline then decrease over time. Travel could be as great at 60% of the time.
  • Consistently establish new auction agreements with towing companies and dealerships throughout your territory.
  • Visit, prospect and reach out to salvage and recycle companies to build a buyer base in your territory
  • Thoroughly and efficiently onboard new towing companies and dealers effectively responding to questions and concerns
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure seamless auction rollouts and execution
  • Provide weekly reports to document your performance, activities and to communicate customer needs to management
  • Provide responsive ongoing customer support in order to maximize customer retention
  • Respond to all customer concerns or requests via email, phone or text within 24 hours (or sooner if needed)
  • Provide customer support and troubleshooting for escalated issues in a rapid and efficient manner
Key success measures (outcomes) for this position: 
  • New towing company and dealer accounts onboarded (maximize)
  • Total vehicles auctioned on new accounts (maximize)
  • Total buyer premium collected on dealer accounts
  • Customer retention rates (maximize)
Professional Qualifications and Experience: 
  • Outside Sales Experience (4+ years)
  • Prior experience in the Towing or Vehicle Storage industry highly desired
  • Competency utilizing Microsoft Office
  • Extremely comfortable working in the evening and late nights and weekends
  • Comfortable with travel up to 50-60% within territory
Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Active driver’s license, and reliable personal transportation a must.
  • Strong work ethic and high level of energy
  • Demonstrate accountability, personal integrity, organizational skills, and a positive attitude while executing ongoing tasks
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and day-to-day directions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Quick learner
  • Understands commission-based compensation and is motivated by it
  • Team Player
Languages
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Spanish speaking a bonus
