Job Summary:
Soulflower is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Reconciliation Specialist to join our finance team at our Marol, Mumbai office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records by reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the company and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:

• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of various accounts, including bank statements, credit card statements, vendor accounts, and intercompany accounts.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies or variances in financial records.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to correct or adjust account balances as necessary.
• Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all reconciliations are completed and discrepancies are resolved.
• Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of all reconciliations, adjustments, and related correspondence.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reconciliation reports to management, highlighting any issues or areas of concern.
• Compliance: Ensure that all reconciliation processes comply with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounts reconciliation or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, or ERP systems).
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the beauty or FMCG industry.
• Experience in Accounts reconciliation
• Familiarity with GST reconciliation and other tax-related reconciliations.

Working Conditions:

• The full-time position is based in our Marol, Mumbai office.
• Mon-Sat Time: 10 am to 7 pm with occasional extended hours during month-end or year-end close.
