DIGITAL & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Key responsibilities
CONTENT WRITING/ CREATION
- Produce, edit, and publish emotive, engaging, and inspiring high-quality and original content for animal welfare audiences. overseeing graphics, video, and text for use on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), email newsletters/campaigns, website updates, social ads, and other communications.
- Liaise with other team members to source information/resources needed for content creation.
- Learn the organisation's voice in order to respond to social media messages and comments, engaging our audience and being a friendly and helpful resource for the community.
- Measure and track the effectiveness of social media tactics and use this to inform on future direction for social media strategy.
COMMUNICATIONS/DONOR RELATIONS
- Create, manage, and follow calendars for donor and funder communications.
- Be responsible for the timely and high-quality production and delivery of email updates and reports to valued donors and funders
- Assist the Founder and other departments with general email communications including inquiries, media responses, collaborations, etc.
Requirements:
- Passionate about animal welfare and have a positive outlook and attitude
- Ability to deal with confronting and at times upsetting content matter relating to animal rescue
- Understanding of cultural differences and animal welfare in a Bali context
- Self-motivated, resourceful, flexible and hard-working
- Able to take initiative to seek out information or resources to get the job done
- Full time work in Ubud, Bali
- 3 plus years of professional experience in communications, digital media, and/or social media management which may include content creation including graphics, video and copywriting and/or paid digital advertising.
- Native-level English language ability
- Strong writing skills and storytelling ability plus an ability to write in a variety of tones and styles
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise multiple projects
- Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, video editing software, Mailchimp, and Facebook Ads Manager a plus
- An understanding of SEO and other marketing strategies a plus
- Attention to detail regarding organisation's branding and voice
- Clear communication skills
