Job Summary:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the organization’s facilities. This role ensures a safe, functional, and efficient working environment for all employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner, diagnosing and repairing issues as needed.

Building Operations:

• Assist in managing building systems, including security and fire safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.

Facility Upkeep:

• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facilities.
• Oversee landscaping and outdoor maintenance, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.

Emergency Response:

• Act as a first responder for facility-related emergencies, including leaks, power outages, and security issues.
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Prepare reports on facility conditions and maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
• Knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices.

Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
