Yayasan Education Aid International (EAI) is a non-profit organization in Indonesia focused on providing educational assistance with a zero-interest loan system in tandem with various stakeholders and implementing partners. EAI stakeholders includes implementing partners, communities, social institutions, and private sector partners.
The Finance and Accounting Coordinator Intern is an internship position that assists the Finance and Accounting team in ensuring the smooth operation of EAI programs. This position will report to the Finance and Accounting Officer. The intern will be responsible for recording transactions, producing accurate and reliable accounting program reports for the organization, and ensuring all program data is available for the semi-annual and/or annual internal audit. The intern is also responsible for overseeing and preparing program financial reports and maintaining records of assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure, payments, and other financial activities.
They will work closely with the other team members to support the effective and efficient finance management and project management within EAI.

Scope of Work:
As a Finance and Accounting Program, the work of the internship in general will include:
Financial Administration and Program
- Assisting maintains accurate financial/accounting program records and prepare clear calculations to support informational, auditing, and program;
- Assisting compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements program including monthly and annual accounts, and ensure financial records are maintained in compliance organizational policies and procedures;
- Assisting day-to-day program administration, such as Checking supporting documents program by accounting system;
- Assisting draft internal memorandum and communications on finance related matter.
- Assisting financial data analyze for the semi-annual and/or annual audit internal program;
- Assisting the semi-annual and/or annual audit process including liaising with internal auditors on audit internal procedures and requirements to ensure the organization’s compliance;
- Assisting program internal financial audits, follow up on implementation of audit and compliance review recommendations;
- Identify discrepancies in financial reports and provide recommendations for improvements;
- Conduct internal feasibility tests based on established audit guidelines;
- Assist senior team in field audits and report preparation;
- Assist in drafting the final audit report to be presented to management or partner.
- Support oversees the Financial and Accounting Officer;
- Other task(s) as assigned to the Project Manager and Executive Director that are relevant to the workflow KPIs.
- Active university student (minimum 6th semester) or fresh graduate (maximum 1 Year post-graduation) majoring in Accounting or Finance Management;
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles including the accounting cycle and financial processing (Journal entries, ledgers, trial balances, and financial statements);
- Have extensive knowledge in accounting field and with excellent skills in the use of any accounting software (Myob and/or Accurate);
- A good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Available for an internship minimum of 3 (three) months, working hours are Monday to Friday, 09.00 AM – 17.00 PM, with a possible extension depending on performance;
- Wiling to work on-site at the foundation’s office (Kebagusan, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta).
