- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing
- Process purchase orders and ensure they are accurate and timely
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the organization
- Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts to ensure compliance with company policies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable service and product quality
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and savings achieved
- Guide procurement best practices and policies
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the procurement process
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) are a plus
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Mining/Plantation/Construction industry
- Having experience in contract negotiation and supplier management is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
- Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits and training
