Research and Development Molluscan Cultivation Manager
Atlas Pearls has an enviable reputation as a global leader in eco-pearling, specializing in the Pinctada maxima, producing beautiful and highly sought after silver and white South Sea pearls.
With 7 farms throughout some of the most remote areas of the Indonesian Archipelago together with leading breeding and hatchery facilities, Atlas Pearls is proud to be a non-extractive and sustainable agri-business. Over 4 years, from hatchery to harvest together with more than 3,000 hands are involved in the journey of each Atlas South Sea pearl.
We are excited to be able to offer the opportunity to join our company as R&D Manager in molluscan cultivation (Budidaya Moluska). The R&D manager will be incorporated into current and future R&D projects for Atlas pearls, the candidate will have extensive knowledge of Molluscan Species (pearl oysters, Abalone and Crustaceans knowledge) as a prerequisite.
The RD manager will develop and manage projects based on commercialization and understanding biological lifecycles and adaptations to improve production efficiencies within all stages of life cycle.
To qualify for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Indonesian national
Masters or Ph D in Marine Biology or Aquaculture
Fluent in English
Proven experience in Molluscan Biology / Aquaculture
Extensive experience in commercial and government hatcheries and facilities
Established historical evidence of using Innovate statistical analysis and complex report writing
Experience in software and statistical concepts (excel, Power BI, Power point, word) for recording and formatting data
Accustomed to public speaking
Managing teams, financial planning and Project management experience
