The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Ireland is hiring for the following role:
ACCOUNTANT
Requirements:
Fluency in English language.
Fluency in Arabic language.
BA in Accounting.
High standard of written work including grammar and accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal and IT skills.
Social media content creation skills preferable.
Flexibility in working hours.
Legal ability to work full time in Ireland.
Experience in a similar role within an Embassy or Diplomatic Mission is an advantage.
This is a very demanding, yet rewarding role requiring flexibility, occasional remote work, the utmost discretion and attention to detail.
Duties:

Salary: €4,200 per month

Duties:
You may be requested to undertake any or all of the following tasks and others:
- All those generally expected of an accountant in an Embassy
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Manage Payroll
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Prepare financial statements
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Liaise with suppliers and ensure prompt payments
- Liaise with Irish Revenue and ensure compliance
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the Embassy's financial to the Ambassador and the dispatching Ministry
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Use the internal financial software
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Provide advices to the ambassador as requested
- Be a member of any internal committee as requested
- Preparing and circulating documents, memoranda, correspondence, and forms
- Managing and maintaining an appropriate filing system (both computerised and hard copy)
- Being a point of contact for queries, requests, issues and communication
- Preparing, circulating and promoting strategy documentation relating to an efficient work flow
- Working within the work-flow systems in the Embassy
- Working remotely when required
- Changeable working hours (and sometimes with short notice), to suit the needs of the Ambassador
- You are expected to follow all Embassy guidelines and do all that is requested of you by the employer
- You are expected to have a neat and tidy appearance and behave in a polite and dignified manner in all your dealings with ambassador, diplomats, colleagues, citizens, students and guests
- Supporting the Ambassador, diplomats, or other embassy staff as requested, and ensuring that all colleagues are given the support required and requested in order to ensure the smooth running of the Embassy
- Ensuring that privacy and confidentiality are maintained in respect of all the work of the Embassy
- On occasion, you may be required to cover for colleagues who are on leave, at lunch or otherwise unavailable or may be requested to take on additional tasks to ensure the smooth running of the Embassy.
Salary: €4,200 per month
