Assistant Production Planner

Scope of the Role
Based at our manufacturing site in Co. Monaghan, the Assistant Production Planner will play a vital role in optimizing our production processes to meet customer demands efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to further their career in production planning within the food industry. While knowledge of SAP is preferred, we prioritise personal qualities, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Reporting to the production planner you will provide support in areas as directed and also assist in the updating of cooking yields on SAP and identifying/investigating anomalies in production data.
Key Responsibilities:

While assisting the production planner the role is required to
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create production schedules and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Assist the production planner in analysing sales forecasts and inventory levels to make data-driven decisions for production planning.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as necessary to meet changing demands.
Maintain accurate production records, track key performance indicators, and report on progress.
Update cooking yields and related data on SAP.
Identify anomalies or discrepancies in production data and investigate root causes.
Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and supplies.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancements.
Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including production staff, management, and suppliers.
Adapt to the fast-paced nature of the food industry, responding to unforeseen challenges and changes with a solutions-oriented approach.
Continuously communicate with relevant departments regarding all schedule changes

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field.
2+ years experience in a similar role
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €30,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
Schedule:

Monday to Friday
