Meade Farm Group, an award-winning Fresh Produce Company who operate from their state-of-the-art family farm based in Lobinstown, Co. Meath, are now recruiting an Assistant Supervisor to join their team.
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the role of the Assistant Supervisor is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Manufacturing Plant.
Job Role & Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a computerised control room.
• Conduct product testing on the finished product.
• Support the supervisor with delegating staff in accordance with production schedules and ensuring the required documentation is completed
• Liaise with the Commercial team and report any necessary information to them as required to ensure the efficient production.
• Manage any issues with the product or equipment effectively with the relevant departments.
• Comply with Health & Safety Policy, Safety Rules and Statutory requirements applying to all operations within the specified line of responsibility.
• Ensure that all products meet or exceed the agreed internal and customer specification and quality standards.
• Assist the Production Supervisor in the co-ordination of external customer visits and internal audits.
• Ensure that company targets are achieved and appropriate actions to resolve issues are taken.
• Deliver improved Production efficiencies, namely Safety, Process Reliability (PR), waste elimination; first time Quality and material usages.
• Work effectively with other departments such as maintenance, Quality and Commercial.

Requirements

• Experience in Engineering, Science or Manufacturing would be an advantage
• Strong PC skills, familiar with automation, PID controller, Computer literate, Microsoft office tools is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of project team.
• Power Pallet Truck and Forklift Experience would be an advantage.
