At Stepping Stones Care, we are dedicated to fostering positive behavioural change and enhancing the quality of life for individuals with additional needs. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Behaviour Therapist to join our dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our service users.
We are now recruiting a Behaviour Therapist for our residential care centres in Dublin & Wexford.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive functional assessments of behaviour.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualised behavioural interventions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Support intervention implementation via evidence-based training strategies and support to staff teams.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (HSE, CDNT, Tusla, Social Care etc.) to ensure consistency of care and a multidisciplinary approach.
- Employing data-based decision making to review and modify interventions as required.
- Continued professional development in current best practices and emerging trends in the field.
- MSc Psychology - Applied Behaviour Analysis (essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and person-centred planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Accredited with Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB) OR Irish Society of Behaviour Analysis (ISBA) OR full membership of Division of Behaviour Analysis with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
- Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) desired (not essential).
- Knowledge of relevant Irish legislation and HIQA regulations related to the provision of positive behaviour support.
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disabilities and complex needs.
- Understanding of National Standards for Residential Services for Children and Adults with Disabilities.
- Understanding of Children’s First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children (2011).
