Atlantic Care Mayo is looking for a Caregiver Monday to Friday with alternate weekends. As a Caregiver with Atlantic Care, you will play a crucial role in providing essential assistance to individuals in need of supportive care within the comfort of their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being, safety, and comfort of our clients while promoting independence and maintaining their dignity.
Responsibilities:

• Personal Care Assistance:
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide support with mobility and transfer assistance as needed.
• Companionship:
• Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment to enhance emotional well-being.
• Medication Reminders:
• Assist clients with medication management and ensure timely administration as prescribed.
• Meal Preparation:
• Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Light Housekeeping:
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including maintaining a clean and organized living space for clients.
• Communication:
• Maintain open communication with clients, their families, and the care team to ensure a collaborative and effective care plan.
• Documentation:
• Record and report client observations and changes in condition to the supervisory team.

Qualifications:

• QQI Level 5 - Care Skills
• QQI Level 5 - Care of the Older Person
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards the elderly and individuals with varying needs.
• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare field is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable).
