Location: This role is based on the company premises in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
Duration : Permanent / Full time / 39 hour week

The purpose of this role:
As a CNC Turner / Toolmaker / Fitter Turner at Lisnabrin Engineering, your role will be critical in the manufacture and building of new products and improving existing ones, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the company's ability to deliver high quality products and services to its customers.
The key accountabilities of the role:
Key accountabilities will include the machining of new parts and fixtures, development of CNC programs with the aid of CAM software (Fusion), machine and tool setup, liaising with other team members, and providing feedback and support as needed.
Duties:
The Primary duties of the CNC Machinist / Toolmaker :

• Utilize CAD/CAM software (Fusion), to develop machine programs, and manufacturing processes.
• Set up and operate CNC Sliding Head “Swiss Lathes” or Fixed Head Lathes to produce precision components according to specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to determine machining requirements and dimensions.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs as necessary to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards and make necessary adjustments to machine settings as needed.
• Conduct thorough inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including machine logs, tooling records, and inspection reports.
• Stay up to date with advancements in machining technology and techniques, and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Any other duties in line with the role, as reasonably requested by management

The Ideal Candidate will have the following:

• Proven experience in CNC turning.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (Fusion), and machine setup.
• Experience operating Sliding Head or Fixed Head Lathes (Both skills would be advantageous)
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling concepts, and precision measurement techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Flexibility to work flexible hours and shifts, as well as the ability to adapt to changing production demands.

Pay: €35,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
