Opening in August 2024, The Montenotte will be opening The Woodland Suite Experience which will epitomize a sense of escape for guests. Nestled within the beauty of the Irish landscape, high above Cork's port, these exclusive suites will enhance a sense of exploration and experience, evoking harmony, and calm. Designed with nature at its very core, each environment will feature an inherent luxury, understated elegance, design sensibility and complete exclusivity, guests will be able to choose from our River Suites and Woodland Suites.

We are now looking for a Commis Chef to join our Kitchen Team!

Main duties and responsibilities

Prepare food and provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to all the customers (both internal and external) as per the set standards.
Ensure that the quality & quantity standards of preparations and presentations are adhered to in the section.
Perform basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized.
Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
Preparing basic salads and sauces.
Plating and presenting meal items as per the seniors' instructions.
Ensures hygiene and cleanliness of his/her area at all times.
Judging quality of raw material & providing quality finished products.
To follow safety rules and procedures at work.
Assist with deliveries and restocking.
Assist with stock rotation.
To carry out any additional tasks as assigned.
Should maintain awareness of food cost, ensure minimum spoilage and wastage at all times.
