We are currently looking for a 1 full time COMMIS CHEF for our family owned corporate catering business in the Naas / Newbridge / Kildare Town area. We provide gourmet office catering for breakfast and lunch meetings as well as full sized corporate events with hot buffets, serving staff, etc. Our main focus: extraordinarily fresh ingredients, prepared / baked / cooked from scratch.
Requirements and Duties:

• Experience: Proven experience in a kitchen environment, either as a qualified chef or in a similar role. The ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment, reporting directly to the head chef.
• Skills: Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation including hot dishes
• Safety Standards: Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety standards
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team and support colleagues as needed
• Team Leader: Confident to lead a small team of 1-3 kitchen assistants after having fully settled into the new role
• Flexibility: With regards to working hours (see below)
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation
• Living Local: Strong preference for candidates who live locally (within 20min driving distance)
• Communication / Organisation Skills: Occasional support/lead at corporate events (set up, serving hot buffets, etc.)
• Full Driving License: B2

Working Hours / Benefits:

• Usually 5 days Mondays to Fridays (occasionally Saturdays, rarely Sundays)
• You will work ±35-45 hours on average. You will also have flexibility to work longer or shorter weeks
• Shifts often start between 3am-6am and runs until 11am to 1pm
• Pay: Hours after 5am €14.50-€16.00 per hour - depending on experience
• Hours worked before 5am: €17.50 - €19.00 per hour
