Founded in Enniscorthy in 2015, at The Wilds, we are passionate about wellbeing and living well. This includes the wellbeing of our environment, our costumers, our makers and producers, and our team. In our multi-award winning café, we create healthy, nutritious dishes bursting with flavour and vitality, using higher welfare and organic ingredients and working closely with our wonderful local food producers.
We have recently opened a new branch of our HOME STORE and CAFÉ in the former Beehive pub in Wicklow and are growing our kitchen team.
We are recruiting for the following position:
CHEF de PARTIE
You are a kitchen all-rounder with an interest in real food, made fresh to order, using great local ingredients. If you have a strong interest in food, consider yourself to be a team player and would like to work in a friendly, collaborative and award winning workplace we would love to hear from you. A positive attitude, responding well to direction, creative flair, excellent organisation skills and an ability to work well under pressure are key assets for this role.
You will be expected to: prep ingredients and follow house recipes while also adhering to high presentation standards; maintain the highest cleaning and hygiene standards in accordance with our HACCP system; assist colleagues with stock management ensuring minimising of waste, cooking, baking, cleaning, creating new menu items, reporting and all other aspects of kitchen duties. Experience in a similar role is required.
Pastry experience would be an added benefit for this role, although not essential.
Our cafe is a busy but very friendly place to work. We open Monday - Sunday 9.00-5pm for breakfast and lunch service as well as serve coffee/hot drinks/cakes etc.
We operate a roster system with various kitchen shifts between 7am - 5pm with a maximum of five shifts, and an average of 40 hours per week. Midweek and weekend availability is essential and weekends off are alternated between the kitchen team.

Remuneration is in line with experience.
