Digital Performance Manager

This is a new role that will report directly to the Head of E-Commerce & Digital Marketing. The role is set within a demanding, target-orientated environment. The successful candidate will work closely with multi-functional Marketing, Product and Pricing teams as well as support business transformation projects and new product launches.
This role will be based from our Dublin head office however will be eligible for the AA hybrid working policy.
Key Responsibilities:
As the AA business continues to evolve, so too will the responsibilities of this role.
The primary responsibilities and focus areas for this role will include the following:
- PPC Strategy & Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive PPC campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Bing Ads, and others. Focus on achieving business goals such as lead generation, conversions, and ROI maximization.
- Digital ATL Campaigns: Lead digital ATL initiatives, including display advertising, video ads, podcasts, and music streaming platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music), to create brand awareness and reach broad, high-volume audiences. Ensure alignment with the company’s overarching brand and marketing strategies.
- Digital BTL Campaigns: Manage BTL efforts, such as paid search, social media, and targeted audio or podcast sponsorships, to directly engage with niche audiences and drive conversions. This includes personalized retargeting and highly targeted campaigns designed to impact the customer journey.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Lead CRO efforts by implementing A/B testing, user experience optimization, and other data-driven strategies to enhance website conversion rates and maximize lead generation.
- Operational Reporting & Analytics: Own the reporting and analysis of digital performance across PPC, social media, and the website. Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Data Studio, etc.) to provide actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations for continuous campaign improvement.
- Budget Management: Oversee and effectively manage digital advertising budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to drive the best performance and ROI. Continuously track spend across campaigns to ensure it aligns with performance goals.
- Cross-Channel Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content, product, and development teams to ensure all digital campaigns (ATL and BTL) are integrated across channels, with consistent messaging and optimized for both awareness and conversions.
- Advanced Data Analytics: Utilize predictive analytics, advanced attribution models (first-touch, multi-touch, last-click, etc.), and other methodologies to track the customer journey and assess the effectiveness of each campaign.
- Customer Lifecycle & Retention: Develop strategies to not only acquire new customers but also focus on retention and renewals, using digital campaigns to maximize the lifetime value of existing customers through targeted marketing and cross-sell/up-sell initiatives.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest innovations in digital marketing, PPC, ATL/BTL strategies, and CRO techniques to ensure the company remains competitive in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all campaigns adhere to regulatory requirements, particularly regarding data usage and privacy in the insurance sector. Work to mitigate risks related to fraud and other challenges unique to digital insurance marketing.
The Candidate should have the following:
Minimum qualifications, experience & skills
- Extensive experience in managing and optimizing PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Or Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Digital Performance Management is required.
- Proven track record of running both digital ATL and BTL campaigns across multiple platforms (display, video, social media, podcasts, streaming services, etc.).
- Expertise in conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques, including A/B testing and personalization.
- Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in web analytics and performance reporting (Google Analytics, Data Studio, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience in managing large digital advertising budgets with a focus on ROI optimization.
- Familiarity with customer lifecycle management and strategies for increasing retention and renewals in the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for digital marketing in the financial/insurance sector.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across teams and present data-driven insights to senior stakeholders.
- A team player happy to work independently, with high-level organisational skills working to tight deadlines
