The Director of Network Programs will be managing service delivery of cutting-edge analytical solutions, products and datasets at the intersection of business, technology and data science. The successful candidate will have a passion for innovation and a desire to make a significant impact on the healthcare industry. The Director Network Programs will collaborate cross-functionally with numerous business and data analytics teams and manage multiple business projects at one time.
Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
Primary Responsibilities of the Director of Network Programs:

Accountable for achieving assigned targets for health plan clients and their members and provider health systems in their assigned Market(s)
Develop and deploy business plans at the market level with a strong focus on managing initiatives and costs and building relationships across Market(s) (provider and medical management community partners) to develop and optimize business opportunities and brand strength
Work with central function leads to target strategies that will result in optimal Market(s) effectiveness.
Manage all client relationships and serve as a market resource across Market Consultation and collaborate with other directors, client managers, client performance directors, etc.
Lead business development opportunities through health system enablement strategies and expanded health plan client programs including digital assessments and connectivity strategies
Ensure targets are met or exceeded for assigned Market(s) across all clients
Monitor Market level trends, risk and opportunities to continually evaluate ability to achieve established targets
Identify Market barriers and mitigation plans
Drive initiatives to optimize performance across Medicare, Medicaid and ACA populations
Influence the development and improvement of operations/service processes
Drive the development and implementation of short- and long-range plans
Continually assess market competitiveness, opportunities and risks
Recommend, sponsor, lead and participate in Optum enterprise-wide initiatives

Required Qualifications of the Director of Network Programs:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance or equivalent education and experience
Progressively increasing business management experience in a high impact role
Demonstrated success, with a deep understanding of Health Care delivery operations, health care financing and industry trends
Demonstrated leadership capability in developing new teams, growing existing business and the ability to lead and motivate people to achieve agreed-upon results
Strong strategic thinking capacity, effective communication skills and a proven track record of building and maintaining multiple effective partnerships

Preferred qualifications of the Director of Network Programs

Master’s degree
Proven track record of exemplary leadership experience in the managed health care industry
Broad base of experience across management care operations, including depth of understanding across Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Risk Adjustment and Quality
