Job Summary

The Executive Chartered Building Surveyor will be assigned as a resource to the General Design Office (GDO) for projects that originate from and across all Directorates. role involves Design, Project Management, site supervision of construction projects and perform the duties of the Assigned Certifier, under BCARS - Building Control Amendment Regulations 2014, for each of the stages of various Building and Civil works projects identified.

Each candidate must, on the latest date for receipt of completed application forms:

hold a professional qualification in Building Surveying that is prescribed under the Building Control Act 2007, or a qualification in Quantity Surveying, that is equivalent to a qualification so prescribed in Section 43 of the Building Control Act 2007

and

be eligible for registration as a Building Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007 without requiring further assessment. Any appointment by the employing local authority will be subject to registration under the Act;

have at least five years satisfactory experience of building surveying work;

possess a high standard of technical training and experience;

possess a high standard of administrative experience.
