• Current building regulations and associated technical guidance documents
• Department of Housing’s Quality Housing Design Series documents
• Fire & Disability access certificates
• Planning Legislation and in particular where it relates to the Local Authority part 8 planning process
• Capital Works Management Framework & Procurement
• Working as part of a team to deliver a programme of new build and refurbishment projects and the provision of architectural services for other Offaly County Council projects
• Managing your work, to achieve agreed objectives to a high standard of design and technical quality and professional practice, to agreed timeframes;
• Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with all relevant professional practice and industry standards and relevant public and Council policies;
• Competent Knowledge of the roles associated with Building Control Amendments Regulations
• Have a satisfactory knowledge of public administration in Ireland and have general administrative experience.
• Current local government issues, future trends and strategic direction of the sector
• Fostering and maintaining wide ranging productive working relationship both internally and externally to the organisation

• Advising, inspecting, and reporting in relation to projects to the relevant Department as assigned to by Offaly County Council
• Assisting the regen team in preparation of funding applications to secure funding from the various Departments for both project development and capital project
