As the Finance Intern you will support the financial planning and analysis team to build forecasts. You will have varied responsibilities which will include working on cross-functional finance projects, running reports and analysing data and providing business analyst support through data gathering. Working Schedule:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin & Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.
Primary Responsibilities of the Finance Intern:

Support the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to build forecasts.
Assist with the month end close process for assigned businesses or groups.
Provide business analyst support through data gathering for monthly reporting packs and various business requests.
Run reports, analyse data, and identify trends to support the FP&A team.
Work on cross-functional finance projects – such as process improvements and innovation initiatives.
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation.

Required Qualifications of the Finance Intern:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance

Preferred Qualifications of the Finance Intern:

Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite – particularly Excel and Power Point
Ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrate ability to be a team player in a previous role or hobbies/interests
Ability to work from the Letterkenny or Dublin Office
