Post Status: Specific Purpose

This appointment is for the specific purpose of to develop, write and manage the CONNECT Centre's Funding Proposals for European Union and other Non-Exchequer, Non-Commercial (NE-NC), as well as Exchequer Funding programmes, from proposal stage to award, contract set-up and project start. This appointment is not offered on indefinite duration basis because the project is expected to be complete in a finite period.

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: Appointment will be made on the Administrative Officer 2 (€56,703 - €66,627 per annum) and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.” https://www.tcd.ie/hr/employee-services/pay-scales/

How to Apply: In order to assist the selection process, candidates should submit a Curriculum Vitae and a Cover Letter (business format and no more than 2 x A4 pages) that specifically address the following points.

Applicants must have at least 3 years of experience in research administration and management with knowledge of the challenges facing the research funding environment in Ireland. The applicant should concisely address how they obtained their experience.

An understanding of the research process of writing successful applications for research sponsors is essential. The applicant should give examples of involvement in competitive research proposal writing indicating the scale of budget involved, the outcome and what the applicant learned from the process.

Illustrate, through past example, their ability to work on their own initiative and resolve problems.
