Title: Stock Controller
Reports to: Stock Integrity Manager
As a Stock Controller you will ensure that all stock held within the depot is organised and logged correctly. You will ensure all stock records are accurate and stock losses and errors are minimised. You will also be responsible for ensuring vehicles are loaded and unloaded in a safe manner and in line with operational requirements.

What will you do?
Your main duties will include:
Health and Safety

• Create an environment conducive to the continuous improvement in health and safety standards through raising of safety observations and near misses.
• Promote compliance of PPE requirements and company health and safety standards
• Maintain site standards within the warehouse through regular housekeeping of aisles, storage, yard, and walkways.
• Ensure all equipment is stored safely and in line with company standards on site.
• Ensure all company health and safety standards and requirements are met.
• Adhere to all company training for all tasks completed.
• Any loading and unloading of vehicles aligned to company procedures and standards. All powered access to be loaded and unloaded utilising appropriate PPE and safety procedures.

Customer Service

• At work, you must display the company values: make it safe, make it better, make it together and make it happen.
• Carry out thorough checks on outgoing and incoming loads, including reviewing volumes, e-codes, and quality of kit reporting any damaged or missing items and escalating any discrepancies via the appropriate channels.
• Accurately pick and marshal delivery and collection of stock for driver routes and internal/external stock movements.
• Load/unload vans in line with safety and company standards, ensuring accuracy of e-codes and product quality.
• Collaborate with the Stock Integrity Manager to report and investigate stock and e-code discrepancies.
• Maintain adequate and accurate stock levels at all times, complying with company targets.
• Assist with Click & Collect to provide an efficient hire experience and leave customers feeling valued.
• Foster teamwork between colleagues and work closely with them to ensure the highest level of service for the business and customers.

Compliance

• Maintain stock integrity by regularly updating Spanner with all stock movements.
• Monitor stock within the warehouse to ensure it is accurately logged with the correct status (available, check or maintenance).
• Perform daily stock and quality checks, including inventory checks, and report any discrepancies to the line manager.
• Assist with the completion of biannual stock take for the site and adhere to all systems, procedures, and processes.

• Proficiency with computer systems and numerical skills are essential, and any experience with manual handling will be beneficial.
