We are a dual branded property opening soon in the heart of Cork City; 2 hotels operating in 1 building! Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Helping guests and creating positive experiences
• Manage checking guests in/out the Moxy and Residence Inn way
• Manage all bills and payments correctly
• To be fully conversant with the facilities, services and special promotions offered by the hotel and to pass this information on to the guest whenever the possibility arises in order to maximize hotel sales
• To be fully conversant and able to operate the hotels front office systems
• Ensure that all charges are correctly posted to the guests bills following the standard procedures
• Be aware of the hotel availability and that every opportunity to maximize room sales is taken
• Deal with cash, cheque and credit transactions in accordance with the hotel and company policy
• Whenever possible to anticipate guest’s needs, to be aware of all written and spoken requests to carry out these requests in a courteous and helpful manner
• Ensure a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained
• Operate the hotel switchboard and deal with all internal and external calls, according to procedure
• To display and fulfil positive service style
• Supporting other Crew Members
• To show willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary.
• Promote and support the Moxy brand & the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program

We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which is all of these things:

• Have high energy and a fearless do-it-yourself attitude
• Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests
• Skilled multitasker who can balance hard work with great service
• Know being relaxed isn’t the same as being lazy
• Clear communicator fluent in English (and other languages a plus!)

Useful Experience

• Experience within the service industry
• Knowledge of hotel systems such as Opera and/or Micros
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws
• Personal experience of travel and travel industry
