Platinum Homecare is a newly established, successful Irish Homecare Company operating in several regional areas throughout Ireland. Our Mission is to create a more compassionate and efficient method of providing Homecare to those who need it most.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of HR Operations Manager at Platinum Homecare. This key person will be a member of the Senior Leadership team and will manage the full HR Lifecycle working with Regional Managers and employees providing support for our people strategy, policies and processes to ensure the success of each regional location. The role will help build a positive and enriching organisational culture, promote employee growth and development, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, all of which contribute to the overall success and sustainability of our service.
This role reports to the CEO of Platinum Homecare.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic HR
- In conjunction with the Senior Management Team, develop and implement the HR Strategy for the business, ensuring it is closely aligned to Platinum’s strategy and all components are well aligned.
- Partner with the business, its leaders and employees to build people capability, plan and manage talent and develop approaches that help drive organisational success.
- Work closely with Senior Management to foster a positive organisational culture based on professionalism, high standards of service delivery, innovation and care (for all our stakeholders, including staff).
- Develop and drive standards of excellence in all aspects of HR practice, to include designing and implementing robust people management policies and systems, training leaders and staff to ensuring consistency in their application.
- Act as a trusted advisor; advising and guiding Senior Managers on employee relations matters, employment law and performance management practices.
- Provide a professional and credible HR service.
- Develop and implement excellent recruitment and selection policies, procedures, practices and approaches, ensuring all those involved in the process are fully trained in same.
- Resource and manage the recruitment team, supporting the hiring for all roles.
- Oversee all aspects of recruitment and selection, from, advertising vacancies, candidate screening, to recruitment and selection processes and outcomes
- Responsible for the management and proactive review of Platinum Homecare’s Frontline Workforce Management System.
- Oversee social media channels, career and landing pages to maintain high direct sourcing success. Continue to seek opportunities to improve processes
- Ensure compliance and accuracy of all employee contracts, policies and employee handbook, in line with GDPR and employee legislation Design and develop a welcoming and comprehensive employee induction programme and ensure new hires have full role clarity.
- Design and implement a robust probation management process for all new hires ensuring that line managers are proactively supporting staff through their probation.
- Develop strong and effective professional communication channels with all Regional Managers, with regular 1 to 1 meetings to set, review and refine targets in their individual areas.
- Ensure Regional Managers are proactively leading and taking responsible for staff retention and are closely managing, appraising and supporting their teams and are flagging issues early.
- Manage employee relations and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice and in line with Platinum’s values.
- Ensure a positive employee relations culture is championed and maintained, knowing that this is a key part of the Platinum employer brand.
- Support the delivery of Talent Management and People Development plans, and Performance Management practices.
- Support the creation and delivery of a training and a development plan to best equip Platinum for continued growth; incorporating a range of learning types (mandatory and short courses, educational programmes, job shadowing, mentoring, etc).
- Own the DEI policy frameworks, aligning Platinum’s commitment to an inclusive and belonging environment.
- Manage relationships with any third parties involved in the recruitment process (for example agencies) ensuring the preferred supplier list is up to date, delivers to the needs of the business and provides the maximum value.
- Produce recruitment metrics focused on time to hire, quality of hire, cost to hire, etc.
- Conduct exit interviews, report on data and work closely with the Senior Management Team to develop action plans.
- Ensure robust systems are in place for managing and recording employee leave and support Regional Managers in understanding the different types of leave and approval processes.
- Deliver other key HR projects/initiatives that support execution of the overall HR and business strategy, for example in areas such as employee well-being, learning and development and health and safety.
- Take responsibility for creating and overseeing Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrate through policies, programmes and regular communications, Platinum’s commitment to health, safety and wellbeing of employees.
- Work to identify and eliminate health and safety risk, protecting employees and our clients, and continuously improving workplace health, safety and well-being.
- Advise, coach and train line managers and employees on their health and safety responsibilities in the workplace (including in the client’s home).
- Develop and deliver (or source where appropriate) training programs to educate employees about safety practices, emergency protocols, and the proper use of protective gear.
- Ensure all mandatory health and safety training (fire safety, first aid, infection control etc) is completed in an efficient and timely manner by employees.
- Carry out (or oversee) health and safety investigations where necessary, ensuring that proper protocol is followed, findings are reported and learning takes place as a result.
- Weekly status report for all regions against agreed targets and KPI’s, with the report automated in real time.

Qualifications Required
- At least 12 years’ experience in the area of Human Resource Management. At least 5 years proven experience managing a HR function, including managing and mentoring a HR team.
- Experience influencing and supporting senior stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office and skilled in HRIS and data analysis techniques.
- At least degree educated, ideally in HR/business related field of study.
- Must be CIPD qualified.
- Communication skills: ability to communicate clearly, confidently and respectfully through words and actions, by demonstrating the skills of listening, explaining, persuading, and influencing others at a level appropriate to the audience.
- Relationship Building: commitment to building strong and sustainable professional relationships with colleagues, employees and other stakeholders, whereby you seek to understand requirements and issues, deliver on promises, are consistent and responsible in work and reliable in the execution of duties.
