Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistant
€ 13.50-€ 14.50 per hour
Wicklow
Location: CPU Bray
Rate of pay: € 13.50-€ 14.50 per hour DOE
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, Work 5 days a week inc. Sundays. Off for 2 days a week.
Rotation in shift patterns.
Key responsibilities
- Food preparation: Assist with preparing, cooking, and packing lunch for distribution.
- Kitchen organization: Keep the kitchen organized and tidy and ensure produce matches orders.
- Cleaning and maintenance: Clean stations and dispose of expired food.
- Learning and development: Learn about kitchen responsibilities, develop new skills, and improve culinary knowledge.
- Other duties: Assist other chefs & departments and follow company policies. Assist where needs with back of house.
- Health and safety: Ensure food is handled and prepared safely and comply with health and hygiene regulations. Have HACCP Food Safety Certification is desirable and excellent hygiene standards.
- Communication: Interact with other chefs, supervisors and key communication with other departments.
- Experience: Ideally have a background in a CPU or busy kitchen environment focusing on a high standard.
- Individual: Be able to work with a team & be self-motivated to learn & progress in the kitchen.
