Lead Quality Systems Technologist

Golden Bake (www.golden-bake.com) are an Irish owned frozen food manufacturer based in Coolock, Dublin 17. We produce the most delicious ready-to-bake pastry and cookie products that you have ever tasted and we distribute them to retail and foodservice customers in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the rest of the world.
We were founded in 1987 and currently have more than 130 employees, a 100,000 square foot facility, including a brand new state-of-the-art facility, and the ability to produce up to 50,000 products per hour.
What We Need Help With
We are looking for an experienced Systems Lead to join our Quality & Technical team here at Golden Bake. Reporting to The Head of Quality & Technical, the Lead Quality Systems Technologist will play a key role in the department.
Responsibilities Will Include
- Maintenance and development of the company quality management systems and processes.
- Management and Participation in Customer Audits
- Managing audit schedules in line with requirements and conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance to legislative, customer, company and industry standards.
- Maintain, develop and update HACCP, TACCP and VACCP systems in line with changes to processes, procedures, work practices and external requirements.
- Maintain and update relevant Risk Assessments and validation studies.
- Review and maintenance of customer on-line systems to ensure customers policies and requirements are met.
- Completion of supplier questionnaires and queries
- Conduct training as required and maintenance of training related information.
- Manage approvals and performance evaluation of suppliers & raw materials, shelf-life extensions and supplier general compliance to company requirements.
- Contribute to developing and enhancing the company Food Safety Culture
- Manage compliance to sustainability programs including RSPO
- Involvement in Technical Projects within the business as needed.
- Diploma or higher in a Food Science related discipline
- Significant experience in a similar role in the food industry
- HACCP Certified
- Process orientated with proven leadership and communication skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Good working knowledge of retailer standards and current Irish and EU legislation
- Salary will be depending on experience
