On behalf of Deloitte, AMS are looking for a Lead Salesforce Developer for an initial 12 month contract based in Dublin under a hybrid working model.

Purpose of the Role:
As a Lead Salesforce Developer you will:

• Lead and deliver Salesforce development projects for a long-term public sector initiative with a well-defined, multi-phase roadmap.
• Design and implement advanced Salesforce functionalities using Service Cloud and custom integrations, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with an offshore team of developers, providing guidance, mentoring, and detailed code reviews to maintain high standards.
• Act as a technical liaison, working closely with architects to interpret designs and either implement solutions directly or delegate to junior developers.
• Make strategic decisions on whether to approach solutions with code or configuration, especially in cases of complex requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders, representing the project team and ensuring alignment with business requirements and client expectations.
• Travel to the client’s office as needed in the initial project phase, with a mix of remote and office work as the project progresses.
• Ideally possess the skillset to oversee Dev Ops and release management practices, including use of the Deloitte's in-house deployment tool and Git across multi-environment setups.

What we require from the candidate:

• Proven experience in complex Salesforce development projects with a solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and functionality.
• Demonstrated ability to lead development projects, mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and make architecture decisions.
• Familiarity with integrating Salesforce with external systems; experience in coordinating with middleware teams to ensure responsive, highly available integrations.
• Experience working effectively with remote/offshore development teams, with strong skills in communication, guidance, and maintaining coding standards.
• Hands-on experience developing custom Apex code and Lightning Web Components including custom functionalities.
• Ability to represent the team and communicate technical concepts clearly with non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Knowledge of release management and Dev Ops practices, including deployment tools, multi-environment setups, and version control (e.g., Git) [desirable]
