Maintenance & Support Engineer


Within our Power Generation & Utilities business, we deliver large-scale critical infrastructure projects that transform the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the energy network moving it towards a greener, more sustainable future. Projects include:

  • High-Efficiency centralised power plants in hyperscale data centres
  • Large-scale flexible peaking plants providing grid support when renewables are not available
  • Embedded renewables
  • National Utility projects to meet ambitious sustainability targets.


We are currently seeking experienced Maintenance & Support Engineer (3+ years' experience) to join our expanding team in Dublin. Experience supporting Electrical and Mechanical control & protection systems would be a distinct advantage, some examples would include: Power/Energy Managements Systems, Standby Power Generation, Prime Power Generating Plants, HV & MV Substations or Fuel Forwarding/Distribution Systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting issues with PLCs, HMIs/SCADAs, Protection Relays, VSDs, Network Switches, Engine Controllers, Synchronisers etc.
Attending emergency callouts to critical customers.
Assisting in the production of maintenance plans & procedures for systems supported by Neo Dyne.
Organising and executing routine maintenance checks of equipment at customer premises in line with agreed maintenance contracts.
Reporting on issues, performing root cause analysis, implementing repairs & improvements in consultation with customers.
Organising sub-contractors and specialists where relevant to carry out work at customer sites.
Organising and participating in shutdown activities at Power Stations in conjunction with other Neo Dyne engineering disciplines.
Participating in commissioning activities for Neo Dyne projects on occasion.


Qualifications

Level 6 Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline, or National Craft Certificate with suitable experience.
Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role.
Experience programming/modifying PLCs using Siemens Step7 and/or TIA.
Familiarity with Control Systems, Safety Systems, Instrumentation, Electrical Switchgear and Generators.
A high level of computer proficiency is required.
Direct experience in operating or maintaining Power Generating Plants, Standby Power Systems or Electrical Infrastructure would be beneficial.
