KD Group is a well-established Mechanical Engineering company with projects nationwide. We have exciting new projects secured in the Connaught, Limerick, Athlone areas for the next number of years and seeking experienced Mechanical Project Managers for project these locations. These are full-time, permanent positions with opportunities available to progress within the company, if desired. The successful candidates will be motivated, organised individuals who possesses strong technical knowledge in project management and systems.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Project Running Phase:

• Agree a training plan for staff and operatives particular to your site in conjunction with the OM
• Manage your site team in the effective day to day running of site activities
• Ensure compliance with programme, materials deliveries and engineering, quality and safety issues
• Attend meetings with Clients
• Hold weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors and ensure that safety and training are discussed
• Ensure effective cost and sales control in conjunction with Q.S
• Advise client in good time of current sales plan
• Ensure productivity at work face is measured on a weekly basis also maintain project progress control
• Submit monthly internal reports to the OM

Project Completion:

• Attend and participate in monthly project managers meetings
• Develop your skills in line with agreed training plan
• Put forward idea’s for continuous improvement of company
• Maintain contact with your client base
• Maintain excellent working relationships with the client from project start up to project completion

To be considered you will have:

• Building Services Engineer / Mechanical Engineer or Senior Trades qualification or equivalent
• Significant Project management experience 3 years+
• Previous record of delivering small to medium mechanical projects (Commercial, Industrial, pharma, data centre type projects)
• Pre-commissioning & system turnover experience
• HVAC and building services experience
• Commercial Awareness
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems and procedures – knowledge of the team, their strengths and weaknesses
• The ability to multi-task and manage many priorities
• Computer Literacy
• IOSH Managing Safely or CITB SMSTS
• Ability to estimate

Experience & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree Mechanical Engineering/Building Services Engineer or similar
• 5+ years' experience in a management role
• Experience in the M&E Building Services Industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to detail and good commercial acumen
