About the role
It's an exciting time to join the ARM Motor Engineering department.
As an ARM motor engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the team, while successfully determining and managing repair scope and costs.
You will undertake desktop and physical vehicle inspections using the most appropriate methods such as written reports, data, digital imaging or physical inspection, to ensure the accurate evaluation and correct repair process for motor vehicle repairs. The ARM automotive engineering department works as one team, where development and the sharing of knowledge is a top priority.

What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing and negotiating agreement of all motor vehicle repair estimate and negotiating PAVs, liaising directly with repairers and claimants.
- You'll be working to agreed timescales and business parameters, depending on the business needs.
- Audit and evaluate performance of repairer, making recommendations regarding repair quality, repair costs and customer service.
- Building and maintaining professional working relationships with a range of suppliers.
- Supporting all aspects of the business to assist in the process for both insured and third party in order expedite settlement and manage cost.
- Ensuring all work is carried out within agreed KPI's and SLA's and in accordance with industry best practice and our company values.
- Proven experience in assessing damage to all types of motor vehicles, in relation to Motor Vehicle Insurance claims.
- Experience in damage estimating, repair cost negotiation and vehicle valuations.
- Membership of the Institute of Automotive Engineer Assessors (IAEA), would be desirable but not essential.
- Expert user of the Audatex damage assessment system and vehicle valuation software.
- Developed communication and organisational skills.
- Post repair inspections
- You will be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.

- Monday to Friday
- Leaving Certificate (preferred)
- Engineering: 3 years (preferred)
