Purpose of the Role
The role of the nurse tutor is to develop, plan, coordinate and evaluate education programmes provided by the Centre of Children’s Nurse Education (CCNE). The nurse tutor will liaise with their other colleagues across CHI, in order to provide education and training to all children’s nurses within the remit of the centre, and to provide children’s nursing related specialist programmes as required nationally.

Essential Criteria:

RCN/RN Child branch with 5 years Post Graduate experience or RGN with 5 years acute paediatric experience.
Master’s degree in education or a subject relevant to the post, or a guarantee to pursue a Registered Nurse Tutor qualification.
Experience of teaching and programme development.
Digital skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Knowledge of developments in children’s nursing services, education and quality principles in Ireland.
Thorough knowledge of current professional children’s nursing issues and NMBI standards.
