Title:
Personal Assistant required to assist a 23 year old professional working writer with a physical disability in all aspects of daily living – Maynooth Co. Kildare.
Duties:
Help with writing (scribing) & facilitating non-medical independent living at home during social activities and whilst in meetings/professional settings. Help with toileting and eating will also be needed. This is not a medical role. In short, you will be his arms and legs.
Hours:
8 hours per week, split over two 4-hour shifts approx. One of which will be a Saturday from 11:30 to 3:30, the other is negotiable, daytime or evenings depending on activities and may be subject to change. Weekend availability would be preferable. Fixed-term and relief contracts available.
Pay:
The pay rate is €15.39-17.12 per hour, depending on experience, etc, and will be discussed at the interview stage.

• A Full Driver's Licence is essential

The successful candidate will be employed by the Irish Wheelchair Association. This post comes under the Leader Service of the IWA. This means that the person with the disability is the line manager and they direct their own service
