This post will be attractive to a candidate who combines experience of working with and supporting young people, with competencies in project management and interest in climate change and European youth programmes.
KEY TASKS
(i) GEAI
· Become familiar with current European European Solidarity Corps(ESC) and Erasmus+ youth programmes, EU policies regarding youth and environment and GEAI Quality Label.
· Support the GEAI Directors in the design and applications for new ESC and Erasmus+ projects, including establishment of new partnerships.
· With the support of GEAI Directors and staff, manage all new GEAI ESC and Erasmus+ Projects including promotion, publicity, implementation, evaluation and reporting.
· Manage the implementation of the GEAI Communications Strategy, including Social Media Platforms, Website, Newsletters and Publicity.
(ii) ESC Programme
· Liaise with our ESC/Erasmus+ funders and attend training or briefing sessions.
· Recruit GEAI European Solidarity Corps volunteers, both hosted and sending.
· Plan and support the professional, personal and social development of the ESC volunteers, including training, as per GEAI Quality Label, Operations Manual and ESC programme guide.
· In collaboration with the Projects Officer, implement a workplan for ESC volunteers for the year 2025. This to include Environmental programmes, campaigns and events, management of Ballinaglera Community Hall and local Community Development work.
· Co-ordinate and facilitate meetings of ESC volunteers, including regular group meetings, monitoring meetings and, in conjunction with the Directors, evaluation meetings.
· Use the ESC Beneficiary Module to track project and volunteer related statistics.
· Manage the on-going attendance of the ESC volunteers, including time-sheets, holidays, days off in lieu, training and individual days off.
(iii) Erasmus+ Projects
· Research possible Erasmus+ projects and propose applications.
· In conjunction with New Projects Officer and GEAI Directors, apply for Youth Participation project already at draft stage and other projects if agreed.
· If application is successful, in conjunction with Directors and other staff, manage the Youth Participation project.
KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Essential:
· Self-motivated team player, able to work independently and in a self-directed manner without close supervision.
· Experience in community and voluntary sector.
  • Project management experience and IT skills.
  • Strong report writing, organisational and governance skills.
  • People management and communication skills.
· Flexibility, enthusiasm, commitment and an open mind.
· Interested in working in an international setting on EU youth programmes
Desirable:
· Relevant 3rd Level Qualification
· Knowledge and experience of communications, including production of promotional materials,
social media and website management.
· Knowledge and understanding of sustainable development and community-based climate action.
· Experience in managing volunteers.
· Knowledge and understanding of the ESC programme and its requirements.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From €2,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
