Role Profile
We have an opportunity on a fixed term basis for a financial professional to join our team! Reporting to the Strategic Finance Manager - Milk Projects, the ideal candidate will effectively lead within a fast paced, dynamic environment, & the role will involve partnering with the Category (Supply, Legal and Communications teams) teams to deliver the insights required to aid decision making and contribute to the success of the business by providing challenge and support to the team.
You will understand the probable financial implications of decisions on the Category, thereby having the ability to offer advice and support to the business. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of Tirlán operations with experience working in a similar industry an advantage.

Responsibilities Partner with the business to offer insights on financial analysis to evaluate, monitor and drive business performance, optimise working capital and manage risk using the latest data analytics, data visualisation and AI tools. Understand and drive business unit / sub-unit performance by identifying, owning and developing the PI’s/KPI’s of the business and related digital dashboards. Develop and challenge strategic/business plans and identify areas of risk and opportunity. Work with the business to develop and challenge budgets/forecasts. Support the team in business case feasibility and development and provide on-going monitoring and evaluation of actual performance against agreed targets. Support the preparation of ad-hoc analysis and management reporting to assist in business decisions, including but not limited to, Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting, Commercial negotiations & Project appraisal. Support process improvement and optimisation being the key finance player in commercial/lean projects and value-add commercial initiatives from identification through to planning and implementation phases.
Requirements Qualified Accountant or third level degree in a relevant finance or business discipline 1-3 years post qualification experience in a dynamic environment, working in a similar environment is preferred but not essential. Good knowledge and experience of SAP accounting environments preferred together with ability to use and exploit data warehousing tools and excel Strong communication and influencing skills Collaborative approach to dealing with stakeholders Strong business acumen Excellent planning and organisational skills Live the core values of Tirlán.
