Job Specification:
We are experiencing significant growth, and we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the Quantity Surveyance team based from our Dublin offices location. This role requires regular attendance at sites throughout the life cycle of multiple projects. Projects vary from domestic housing energy upgrades to large scale commercial, residential and educational projects.
The role contributes to the commercial, financial management and profitable performance of the business.

Requirements:
· Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor degree or other equivalent qualification.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Excellent time management.
· Demonstratable financial management & commercial acumen.
· Awareness of regulatory guidelines.
· Robust experience collating tenders, recognising new business opportunities.
· Focused attention to detail.
Key duties and responsibilities:
· Compile and provide precise and accurate valuations to main contractors in a timely manner.
· Examine changes in scope of works/variations, agree and negotiate same with main contractors.
· Complete site visits regularly, marking up drawings to compile payment notifications.
· Full material schedule to be provided to the site coordinator prior to commencement of a new project, schedule to be provided in a staged process for ease of calling off materials.
· Meet on a monthly basis with the Department Manager to discuss account deltas.
· Review commercial plans to deliver maximum margin.
· Identify improvements to commercial procedures.
· Ensure the subcontract process is administered correctly to protect the company.
· Prepare and submit quotations/tenders in a timely manner, with support from senior management on some occasions.
· Resolve queries relating to day to day works or variations in a timely manner.
· Review contracts with management on an ongoing basis.
· Issue design changes to agreed parties with written instruction prior to carrying out works.
· Compile pre-commencement mark ups and issue materials schedule for procurement.
· Consistent communication to be maintained with managers in documenting operatives’ daily outputs.
· Support project managers to monitor daily output and report to management on a weekly basis.
· Review all associated costs and expenditure including tool lease plan invoice vs actual and seek credits if required on a monthly basis.
· Work closely with all team members to ensure the companies targets and profits are maintained and achieved.
· Assist with end of month stock counts to verify value of same.
· Liaise with all team members, assisting with the growth and goals of the company.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €60,000.00-€70,000.00 per year

  • Quantity Surveying: 5 years (required)
