Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role: Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cork/Denmark
We're thrilled to announce that our commercial team in Cork is expanding, and we're on the hunt for a Quantity Surveyor to join us! This role is perfect for someone with a passion for travel, as it will start in Cork and then move to Denmark for 12 months. Responsibilities

Involvement in all phases of the project, including tender documentation, cost management, contractor performance assessment, and procurement.
Administer Sub-Contract orders from award to final account
Identify, Analyse and report on trends within the Business & Projects
Attend and provide input to relevant customer/client commercial meetings
Ensure compliance with Contract Programme /Schedule and provide weekly reports to construction team on planned versus actual progress
Review all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team, and /or subcontractor to identify Contractually critical items and to initiate replies.
Create a procurement schedule for the project
Conduct periodic review of works to identify appropriate cost saving measures

Requirements

Relevant Degree
2 years’+ experience working as a Mechanical QS on Pharma projects
Previous relevant experience working in Ireland or the UK an advantage
Good communication skills and proven record in taking Tenders from Pricing through to final client award Key Skills
Microsoft Excel
Time Management
Communication
Proficient with Piping Measures and Isometrics / P&ID’s
Ability to work in a team environment but also able to work independently to close out Final Accounts
