Initially this will be a Fixed Term Contract (6 months) with a view to extension.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
Essential

Education:
– MSc in Research, Health Service Research or a related field and or Ph D or Postdoc or Fellowship in a relevant field

Research Experience:
– Proven track record of active involvement in health service research, ideally in palliative care or related areas.
– Experience in managing and leading research projects from inception to completion

Publication Record:
– A strong portfolio of published research in peer-reviewed journals

Clinical Inclination:
– While a background in clinical training, is not mandatory, a strong understanding and appreciation of clinical practices is highly desirable.

Desirable:
– Experience in palliative care research.
– Experience in securing research funding and grants.
– Familiarity with healthcare systems and policies in Ireland.
– Ability to mentor and develop research skills in clinical staff.

– Strong leadership and management skills.
– Excellent organizational and analytical skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
– Proficient in research methodologies and statistical analysis.
– Strong networking and collaboration skills.
– Demonstrate innovation and an ability to problem solve
