Sales and Events Manager | Dublin

We are looking for an experienced Business Development superstar to join our team at Sandbox VR UK & Ireland – Dublin as a key stakeholder in the Launch of our first Dublin Venue.
As Business Development Manager, will you play a pivotal role in driving growth and establishing strategic partnerships to expand our reach and maximise revenue opportunities for this Flagship Venue.
You will be responsible for the entire end to end Sales journey, identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and developing innovative strategies to promote our Venue, VR experiences and private hire options.
You will also work hand in hand with the Venue Management team to ensure seamless delivery of all events, group and private hire bookings.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sales and Business Development within the immersive entertainment industry, have a passion for virtual reality and immersive experiences. You will also have a proven track record of positively impacting Excellence in Guest Service.
We are open to hearing from anyone from other industries who is genuinely excited by our venue and product and has a strong corporate network.
You will know the Dublin landscape inside out and be creative and collaborative in your approach to Business Development.
Scope:
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Develop and implement development strategies to drive revenue growth from corporate partnerships and group bookings. Meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
- Strategic Partnerships and Networking: Identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships with relevant businesses to drive foot traffic and enhance brand visibility.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and return business. Act as the main point of contact for corporate and group inquiries and support needs.
- Market Research and Analysis: Know the local market inside out, but continuously conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use insights to inform strategic decision-making and product development efforts.
- Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, advertising initiatives, and online/offline marketing strategies to attract new customers and increase brand awareness.
- Networking and Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including operations, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment of business objectives and seamless execution of initiatives.
- Event Planning and Execution: Work with the venue management teams, with a hands on approach, to ensure the seamless execution of events, corporate functions, and group bookings to create exceptional experiences for guests.

Qualifications / Experience:
- Proven experience in sales with a strong drive for proactive partnerships and network building.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive initiatives that align with overall business objectives.
