Purpose:
We are looking for an ambitious Senior Manager of Responsible Gambling to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. This pivotal role will involve leading both the Safer Gambling and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) teams, ensuring that GGPoker customers experience a compliant and customer-focused journey.
Reporting directly to the Compliance Manager, the Senior Manager will play a key part in shaping our responsible gambling strategy while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and customer service.
The role's core hours are 08:00–17:00, five days a week, with specific days determined based on business needs and consultation. On weekdays (Monday to Friday), you will work from our Sandyford office, while weekend shifts can be completed remotely.
Responsibilities
-Align the Safer Gambling team with the overall Safer Gambling strategy, ensuring all actions support the company’s goals.
-Manage the Safer Gambling Manager and EDD Manager, overseeing their teams and ensuring smooth operations.
- Act as manager and mentor to the entire Safer Gambling team team, leading by example.
-Implement new Safer Gambling processes in collaboration with the Compliance Manager, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
-Regularly review Safer Gambling policies and procedures to ensure they are compliant, efficient, and customer-friendly.
-Serve as an escalation point for high-risk Safer Gambling cases, ensuring prompt and appropriate action.
-Act as the escalation point for the Safer Gambling Manager and EDD Manager in handling complex or sensitive cases.
-Collaborate with the Customer Support team on Safer Gambling queries, providing updates on processes and best practices.
-Keep Safer Gambling training materials up to date and deliver training to relevant teams as needed.
-Work closely with the Compliance team to respond to audits, inspections, and inquiries from regulators.
-Maintain accurate and thorough records of all responsible gambling activities, incidents, and interventions.
-Prepare reports on responsible gambling activities, highlighting key trends, challenges, and performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Experience working with UKGC, or other regulatory bodies
- Experience with affordability assessments
- Advanced Excel skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the online gaming sector.
- Knowledge of applicable customer support best practices.
- Proven ability to manage, provide leadership to and work in a team with a positive attitude.
- High proficiency in modern productivity platforms (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.).
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Passion for online gaming, including poker and sports betting, or a willingness to learn about them, and knowledge of the online gaming industry.
- A third-level degree.
- Strong customer service mentality.
- Interest in being part of a friendly and enthusiastic team.
